Polydioma was established in 1970 by a team of professional translators.
Back then, Polydioma quickly took the lead by profiling itself as one of the first specialist translation agencies in the Netherlands.

In 2007, Angel García, former director of Polydioma, transferred his management duties to Marie-Patricia Mélac. Marie-Patricia Mélac studied law in France and French in Amsterdam. Her own business had already acquired a good reputation in the field of legal and commercial translations. She saw an opportunity to bring further specialisms together under one roof. Today, Polydioma has a pool of translators who specialise in the fields of technology, science and advertising and, since Marie-Patricia arrived on the scene, the company also has access to translators with extensive experience of translating legal documents.
